Profits soar at Access Intelligence

SOFTWARE group Access Intelligence has seen operating profits in the first half of the year overtake those for the whole of 2009.
Pre-tax profits for the first half of the year were £470,000 compared to £169,000 in 2010 while turnover increased by 63% to £4.1m.
The York-based group which specialises in the supply of compliance software insisted it was “cautiously optimistic” about its prospects for the coming months
despite the tightening of public sector spending as businesses continue to face growing regulation and legislation they gave to comply with.
In March the company bought rival Cobent and said today that in the subsequent four months it had received orders with a contract value of £550,000.
The company recorded an ebidta of £707,000 for the first half of 2010 compared to £210,000 over the same period in 2009.
Access Intelligence boasts customers including RBS, Aviva, The United Nations and Barclays.
