WILSONS Solicitors, which has offices in Leeds and Bradford, is acting for a group of private investors who are providing funding for a £12m development of 54 luxury apartments for the elderly in Cheltenham.

Up to 54 high net worth investors will be purchasing the apartments off plan through City of London-based Parallel Investment Management, which aims to help developers overcome the current lack of bank lending.

The investors will act as a consortium and hold a charge over the asset and land as security until the apartments are sold.

James Mawbey-Shaw, partner and head of property at Wilsons Solicitors, believes this type of investment opportunity could become more prevalent and popular.
