Law firm head stands down

THE managing partner of a Leeds law firm is to step down.
Keith Hearn will be succeeded in the role at Ford and Warren by Peter McWilliams, currently head of business at the firm.
Nick Collins, head of contentious, will take on the role of senior partner as part of the reshuffle.
Mr Hearn said: “Peter, Nick and myself have made a great team, ably supported by talented lawyers and dedicated support staff. I have enjoyed every minute of it.
“The firm is in good shape to face the challenges of the future, and I wish Peter, Nick and all at Ford & Warren every success.”
Mr Hearn joined the firm in 1971 and has held the role of managing partner since 1989. Under his leadership the firm moved from Park Square to Westgate Point with the commercial practice quadrupling in size.
Mr McWilliams said: “Past and present partners are hugely grateful to Keith, who has overseen sustainable growth in this practice by absolute determination to deliver the very best service at the lowest investment possible. Our client list is testament to that.”
