Blades chief increases stake at club

SHEFFIELD United chairman Kevin McCabe has increased his stake in the Championship club.

Mr McCabe has purchased a further 18,205,691 ordinary shares in The Blades at 10p a share, through Scarborough (UK), a company controlled by him.

Mr McCabe and his family now hold 74.7% of the issued share capital of Sheffield United, a stock market listed company.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United confirmed today that Sheffield United director Michael Dudley has sold 13,979,501 shares at 10p and no longer has any interest in the share capital of the company.

The plc company has interests in leisure and property as well as football.
