INTERIOR design business Richard Grafton Interiors is creating new jobs just a month after launch.

The Harrogate-based company has recruited interior designers Karen Draper and Val Blakey taking staff numbers to seven.

Richard Grafton said: “It’s fantastic to have Karen and Val joining the team – I believe they are two of the most talented and experienced interior designers in Yorkshire and means that as a team we now boast over 100 years’ experience between us.
 
“Karen and Val have built up a loyal following of customers because of the passion they bring to every project, getting to know and understand each customer in order to devise a scheme specifically for them.”

LAW firm Dickinson Dees has celebrated its move to Leeds with a party attended by more than 400 people.

The event, at Aspire, marked the opening of Dickinson Dees’ new 17,000 sq ft Yorkshire office at No I Whitehall Riverside.

John Marshall, senior partner at Dickinson Dees, said: “We have found Yorkshire welcoming and a great place to do business. Based here in Leeds, we can serve the wider city region and beyond from this, the leading financial and legal capital outside London.

“We now have a team of 60 staff. We are adding to this at all levels from trainee to partner with quality recruits who want to be part of our success here in Yorkshire. THE Rendezvous Hotel has been shortlisted as a finalist in the National Group Travel Awards.

The Skipton Hotel is down to the final six in the Best Individual Hotel for Groups category.

It has been owned and managed by husband and wife team Malcolma and Karen Weaving since 2004.

GLASS manufacturer Beatson Clark has been chosen as a bottle supplier by one of Britain’s oldest breweries.

The company is providing a special bottle for Generation Ale, a premium beer created by Shepherd Neame.

“Beatson Cark have supplied us with many different bottles in the past and we were confident that they would do an excellent job providing a superb bottle for our Generation Ale,” said Tom Falcon, production and distribution director at Shepherd Neame.

OVERCOMING the fear of public speaking will be one of a series of free workshops at a West Yorkshire business fair this summer.

This year’s Ilkley Summer Showcase, on June 16 is expected to attract more than 1,000 visitors.

Now in its third year, the event is organised by the Ilkley Business Forum.
