KPMG names new office senior partner

CHRIS Hearld has been named as KPMG’s new office senior partner in Leeds following Iain Moffatt’s move to a national role.
Mr Hearld joined KPMG 18 years ago following his graduation from university.
The 40-year-old joined KPMG’s partnership seven years ago, becoming one of the youngest partners in KPMG’s history to achieve that rank at the time.
Mr Hearld said: “I’m really excited to take up this role and looking forward to progressing KPMG’s momentum as a dominant force in the region’s business community. The firm is in a very strong position in Yorkshire and performing well, despite the ongoing challenges in the economic environment.
“I am honoured to have had the opportunity to lead teams working closely with companies such as Morrisons, Pace, Renew, VP, Marshalls and R&R Ice Cream to name just a handful.
“The quality of Yorkshire’s businesses is utterly inspiring and constantly proving ourselves an asset to them as they pursue opportunities and manage risk in difficult times remains my top priority.”
Mr Moffatt, who has been KPMG’s office senior partner since 2008, has been elevated to a national role within KPMG.
He now sits on the firm’s UK board, in the role of head of national markets.
