Building Briefs: White Rose Office Park appointment, and more

MUNROE K has appointed commercial property agent CBRE as joint marketing agents on the 580,000 sq ft White Rose Office Park.
Director Jonathan Shires from CBRE replaces Knight Frank and joins existing agents Adam Cockcroft of DTZ, who have marketed the scheme for 10 years, and Jeff Pearey of Jones Lang LaSalle.
Mr Shires said: “We are delighted to have secured an instruction on the region’s premier business park and look forward to working with Munroe K, and the team, in further developing the park’s quality occupier line up.”

MAINTENANCE and electrical facilities provider Norland Managed Services has taken a five-year year lease on a 5,070 sq ft unit at Cliffe Park, Morley.
The Leeds offices of property consultants Carter Towler and Knight Frank secured the letting.
The move will enable Norland to double its staff to 60 during the next 12 months.
Craig Bonner, the financial manager of Norland’s northern region, said: “This move is very much part of our growth plans. We are expanding rapidly, with growth of 25% year on year, and needed bigger premises.
“Cliffe Park is ideal, with great office facilities, a superb working environment, ample parking and easy access to Yorkshire’s great motorway network.”

CARTER Towler has let 14,000 sq ft at Latchmore Park to Fujitsu on behalf of Industrial Property Investment Fund (IPIF).
Fujitsu design, build and operate IT systems and IT services for large scale companies both in the private and public sector.
Its facility at Latchmore Park is for its telecommunications side of the business.

THE first real ale festival in Headingley, Leeds, has received the backing of property firm Morgans, which has invested more than £500,000 in a new office in the area.
Headingley Beer Festival, which will take place from May 25 to 27 at the New Headingley Club, is expecting to attract more than 2,500 people and will feature beer, bands, food and family entertainment.
Organiser Dave Johnson said: “We are delighted that Morgans has agreed to be our lead sponsor and really appreciate the support Jonathan and the team have shown us.”

ESTATE and letting agents Castlehill has been appointed by ATC Properties to market 12 rental apartments which form part of a £3.5m transformation of the historic Lounge Cinema.
The former cinema, in Headingley, Leeds, has stood empty since it brought the curtain down for the very last time in January 2005.
