‘Business as usual’ for RSM Tenon

ACCOUNTANCY firm RSM Tenon today said the business “remains resilient in a challenging market” and that its cost savings programme was on track.

The firm, which has offices in Yorkshire, has been undergoing a number of changes since the appointment of Chris Merry as chief executive earlier this year.

Despite changes behind the scenes at the business, RSM Tenon today said it had been “business as usual” for the majority of its staff and clients.

In an interim management statement covering the period from January 1 to yesterday, RSM Tenon said although transaction-based activities and insolvency work was slow, it expected the majority of its revenues to be generated during the second half of the financial year.

The group said it had reached 75% of its planned £14m cost savings, which it is mainly making through its employees.

It is also continuing to develop and implement a strategic plan to help improve the performance of the group.

Mr Merry said: “We are making good progress in delivering the actions that we identified in our interim results announcement on February 29, 2012.

“We are, and continue to be, committed to our clients and our people. Our clients continue to receive the same high levels of service that they have always enjoyed.”
