BREAKING NEWS: Wood triumphs at Yorkshire Business Masters 2012

MARGARET Wood’s entrepreneurial career was today celebrated as she was named Yorkshire Ambassador at the Yorkshire Business Masters 2012.
The Yorkshire Institute of Directors chairman was chosen by readers of TheBusinessDesk.com over fellow finalists Andrew Burton and Nick Butler.
The presentation of her award, sponsored by Deloitte, came at the climax of the Yorkshire Business Masters 2012 event, in partnership with Jaguar, attended by more than 200 of the region’s leading business figures.
Low cost gym operator Xercise4less won the Yorkshire Newcomer category, sponsored by P&A Group, ahead of Spectrum Community Health CIC and Sheffield Precision Medical.
In the Yorkshire Pride category, sponsored by Henderson Insurance, KC in the Community triumphed over Create and Westfield Health.
The Yorkshire Innovator award, sponsored by Walker Morris went to internet security firm Smoothwall which was competing with Leelex and Wellhouse Leisure.
Composite manhole manufacturer Fibrelite won the first ever Yorkshire Exporter award, sponsored by Leeds Metropolitan University, over Europlus Direct and Dubit.
And the Fletchers Group of Bakeries’s inspiring story secured it the Yorkshire Grit award, sponsored by Journey9, ahead of Morgans City Living and Airco.
