Growth on horizon for testing firm

SPECIALIST microbiological support services company MVS has unveiled plans to move into new premises as part of expansion plans.

The firm is looking to take on new staff later this year after it has completed its move into the new building on Cross Bedford Street, in Sheffield’s Upper Don Valley.

MVS has spent nine months redeveloping the property after outgrowing its existing premises in Maltby, Rotherham.

The move was welcomed by Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield City Council’s cabinet member for business skills and development.

He said: “Economic development is a key priority for the Council. We are currently faced with one of the biggest economic challenges in our lifetime.

“Our approach for the next few years is to work with all sectors of the economy to get Sheffield back on its feet. Working with existing businesses like MVS to help them develop and expand is vital to secure economic growth in Sheffield and the City Region.”

MVS, which currently employs 10 people, provides a range of services including environmental monitoring and water testing.
