New recognition for FDs
THE Yorkshire Finance Director of the Year Awards will have a new category this year, it has been revealed.
Public sector finance directors will be recognised at the event being held at Rudding Park in September.
Entries are being invited now for the awards which will be presented in seven categories including the new ‘Best Public Sector FD of the Year’ title.
Ernst & Young, Squire Sanders and Sewell Recruitment Group are sponsoring the awards.
Cliff Sewell, chief executive at Sewell Recruitment Group, said: “For some time we have thought of introducing a public sector award.
“Introducing this new award is a superb opportunity for us to highlight the excellent work people within the public sector are delivering in these challenging times.”
The other awards categories are:
- Best FD of a Ltd company (under £50m turnover)
- Best FD of a Ltd company (over £50m turnover)
- Best FD of a plc
- Young FD of the Year (up to 40 years of age)
- Best FD of a private equity-backed business
- Outstanding achievement award
