Bentley showroom completed for JCT600

A JCT600 Bentley car showroom has reopened following a £600,000 extension and refurbishment.
The work at the showroom in Leeds was designed by Huddersfield-based architecture and interior design practice Above & Beyond.
Yorkshire firm PDR Construction completed all the construction work on the site, including the extension, which accommodates a tailored workshop delivering a full range of before- and after-sales services.
Each of the two showrooms on the 3,584 sq ft site has been designed to facilitate its own individual sales function, one dedicated to new sales and bespoke Bentley commissioning and the other for pre-owned vehicles and after-sales – all tailored specifically to Bentley requirements.
Melody Griffiths, interior designer at Above & Beyond, said: “The Bentley brand manual was written for newbuild showrooms, so the challenge for Above & Beyond was to translate it into a workable solution for a refurbishment project. We also accommodated local suppliers where appropriate, retaining the aesthetics as outlined in the manual with an element of the design adapted to UK legislation.”
PDR Construction’s procurement director John White said: “This is yet another contract we have delivered for JCT600 on time and on budget and builds on our recent experience of completing the company’s Porsche showroom, also in Leeds.”
