LEEDS Bradford International Airport (LBIA) , has announced the launch of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight operations from Leeds Bradford International Airport to Islamabad, beginning in July.
The flight will operate twice a week – every Wednesday and Saturday.
The new route offered by PIA will further provide travel opportunities to tourists as well as citizens of Pakistan and United Kingdom. PIA plans to add more destinations worldwide as per the market demand, offering enhanced services to its customers.

A FEMALE entrepreneur who achieved success in the male-dominated manufacturing industry and now runs her own wealth management company has been shortlisted for a prestigious regional business award.
Beverley Webster is founder and managing director of Prosperis, a firm of independent financial advisers with offices in Leeds and Sheffield.
She is one of nine women in the running for the Business category of the Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards.
She holds an OBE for services to the coal industry and in 2007 was appointed chair of the advisory board at Sheffield’s Longley Park Sixth Form College, home of one of Yorkshire’s four Career Academies.
Winners will be announced at the Yorkshire Women of Achievement Lunch on Friday 27 June at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

SENSE Internet is the lead sponsor of an arctic expedition designed to raise funds to alleviate suffering from – and increase awareness of – AIDs in Africa
The Leeds-based company is sponosring AIDs educationalist Tom Scalway to raise funds by sailing to the Arctic Circle from Amsterdam and back in Whisky Mac.
Sense Internet’s sponsorship includes providing Mr Scalway and his crew with the fuel they will need for parts of the journey – and publicity to help spread the message.

INDEPENDENT bar and restaurant operator, Arc Inspirations, is donating two specially modified, all-terrain mountain bikes plus panniers and accessories valued at £2,000 to the Neighbourhood Policing Teams, which cover Headingley in Leeds.
The new sets of wheels, featuring logos from the company’s three bars / restaurants in Headingley – The Arc, The Box and Trio – will allow trained and experienced officers to patrol the local area more quickly than on foot and gain access to areas not suitable for vehicles as well as increasing response times.
Arc Inspirations operates eight bars and restaurants in Headingely including The Arc, The Box and Trio, in Chapel Allerton The Hub and Zed, in Roundhay Napa, in Harrogate Banyan and newly opened Kobe in Horsforth.
