Former James Latham base sold

JAMES Latham has sold one of its former bases in a £1m-plus deal.
Precious Holdings has acquired the 64,558 sq ft site in Ossett, West Yorkshire, from the wood-based panel products, hardwoods and specialist softwoods distributor.
The sale follows James Latham’s regional move to Capitol Park in Tingley, Leeds, last year.
GVA was appointed to market the site and Rob Oliver, director at GVA, said: “We undertook a comprehensive marketing campaign, which generated good levels of interest from both local occupiers, property developers and investors.
“We commenced marketing whilst our client was in their last few months of occupation before relocating and agreed the deal during this period, which meant there was only a minimal overlap.”
Andrew Wright, of James Latham, added: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of our original West Yorkshire premises at Ossett. It had served us well for 40 years but we had outgrown it and we have settled well into our new much improved facility at Tingley, which is trading very satisfactorily.”
