Law society launches international service in Yorkshire

THE Law Society of England and Wales International Division – which provides firms with the contacts, tools and information they need to do business internationally – is launching its services to the Yorkshire region.

The innovative service has been designed to help firms and individuals access career development opportunities and increase their personal visibility and will be launched at an event for industry professionals this evening..

The division was developed as a business development vehicle designed to allow the Law Society’s international department to work with individual law firms to assist them with international networking and marketing, as well as with new opportunities to attract talent, explore new markets and win business abroad

The International Division is the Law Society’s international service designed to help lawyers and law firms develop their international business and build global relationships and profile.

President of The Law Society England and Wales, Andrew Holroyd said, “The International Division demonstrates how much the Law Society is changing to meet the needs of all of our members, and is the first of its kind anywhere in the world. It gives members just the sort of platform they need to network internationally and access to advice channels to ensure they don’t make expensive mistakes. Globalisation has generated many exciting opportunities for lawyers and law firms, but the sheer scope of these possibilities also means that networks, knowledge and the ability to promote yourself globally are key factors when trying to convert this potential into success – this is where the International Division can help.”
