New client for Getech

OIL data business Getech has secured a new sponsor for its ‘Global Programmes’ platform in a deal worth more than £500,000.

The Leeds-based business has now signed up six firms to Global Programmes which is a three year programme of research providing oil and gas exploraton companies with constantly updating data on potential areas of interest.

Chief Executive Raymond Wolfson said: “While we had anticipated further contracts in the short term, it is nevertheless very satisfying when they are confirmed.

“Each new commitment is significant for us and continues to reinforce the momentum that we perceive to be building around our Global Programmes.

“This further sale will provide a strong start to the new financial year and helps provide improved visibility of income.”

Getech said the six clients supporting Global Programmes were all “well known companies with international interests”.
