One bought, two sold by The Salvation Army

TWO properties within The Salvation Army’s portfolio have been sold.
The former Yorkshire headquarters of the Salvation Army in Morley, Leeds, has offloaded.
The charity has moved to a new base at Global Business Living in south Leeds.
Another property located in Harrogate has also been sold. Formerly a Corps Hall for the charity which has a long history of offering practical support to people who are vulnerable or in need, the facility was no longer required.
Richard Bracey, of The Salvation Army, said: “The Harrogate property was a former Corps Hall but has been closed as it no longer fulfilled an operational requirement.
“Our move from Morley was largely dictated by the requirement for larger premises which could accommodate various teams currently based in satellite offices in a more contemporary office environment with improved training and conference facilities, better suited to the charities valuable work across the Yorkshire region.”
The two properties located in Harrogate and Morley were sold by Sanderson Weatherall.
Richard Dunn, partner at Sanderson Weatherall, said: “We are delighted to have been able to sell the properties on behalf of the Salvation Army. Demand for the Harrogate property in particular was considerable and with market conditions remaining challenging these deals represent a very positive result for this worthy cause.”
