York hotel on the market

ONE of the largest privately owned hotels in York is up for sale.
The 44 bedroom Newington Hotel has gone on the market with an asking price of £1.4m.
The Newington is being sold by Colliers International on behalf of Mike Harrison who has owned the property for 13 years.
Colliers International director Peter Bean said: “The Newington is a very well located hotel with well appointed facilities including attractive bar and lounges plus a leisure pool and large private car park.
“Most importantly it makes high profits from strong bedroom led business year on year drawing on the huge national and international popularity of York as a must see tourist destination.”
The Newington Hotel is on Mount Vale close to York’s Knavesmire racecourse.
