Duo join Bradford Chamber’s board

GLYN Brown and Andy Caton have been appointed to the board of Bradford Chamber of Commerce as directors.

Mr Brown runs manufacturer and distributor Archerdale and Mr Caton has a senior management role with Yorkshire Building Society.

Both new board members are already active in the business support group’s main policy-making body, Chamber Council.

Mr Brown said: “I was pleased to be invited to join the board and I hope to be able to help take the organisation forward with supporting Bradford’s business community.

“There are still some difficult challenges ahead for both local businesses and Bradford as a whole, and so we need to be on our toes to make sure the Chamber’s delivering good value. “

Mr Caton added: “The Chamber’s role in supporting businesses of all sizes remains as important as it ever was.

“I’m sure that my involvement will be a two-way street in which I’ll be able to bring something  to the table but also feed back into ‘the Yorkshire’ on the key issues facing Bradford on the ground.

“I’m looking forward to contributing to the future direction of the Chamber.”

With the exception of chief executive Sandy Needham, all board positions are non-executive directorships, running for three years up to a nine-year maximum.
