Making the most of employee benefits whatever your budget

ADVICE on how business owners can get value for money from employee benefits will be given at an event organised by independent financial advisers Pearson Jones.

Paul Scott, head of employee benefits at Pearson Jones, will give tips on the advantages of employee benefits at the event, which is taking place in Leeds on Wednesday, November 14.

Employee benefits include services such as medical insurance, company pensions, life insurance, car leasing plans and shareholder protection.

Mr Scott said employee benefits could be an important – and less costly – way of retaining staff loyalty other than offering pay rises.

“There are many ways employers can get value from money from employee benefits and many should be looking at ways of introducing them if they are not doing so already,” Mr Scott said.

“What we are seeing, despite the recession, is that employers aren’t cutting benefits or looking to withdraw them.

“They’re still seen as valuable. There’s also a message to be given for employers who don’t think they can afford them. And that message is that they can.”

The seminar is being held at the Bute and Arran Suite, Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Leeds (formerly Mint Hotel), from 5.30pm. The seminar will run between 6pm and 7pm. Complimentary drinks and food will be provided after the seminar.

The event will be hosted by David Parkin, founder of TheBusinessDesk.com, which is the event’s media partner.
