Electrical firm says Yesss to deal

YESSS Electrical has signed a property deal in Hull that will start the rollout of branches across the UK.
The electrical wholesale business will open an outlet at the Link 63 development next month after agreeing a lease with Garness Jones.
French-owned Yesss Electrical has plans to open 300 outlets across the UK in the next 10 years.
Mark Nolan, regional manager for Yesss Electrical, said: “We are part of a company that has 400 branches throughout Europe and we are now coming to the UK and aiming to open 300 branches in the next 10 years.
“It is a massive investment that could be worth up to £90m overall. It will create a lot of jobs, starting with eight in Hull, and it will support existing employment because in fitting out our premises we will use local tradesmen wherever possible.
Garness Jones welcomed the deal as a sign of the growing confidence in the area.
Dave Garness said: “We’ve seen an increase in enquiries for trade counter businesses recently, particularly in this area of Hull, which is popular for trade and retail outlets.
“Yesss Electrical are a new business and this outlet will be one of the first to be opened in the UK. This is an important deal in terms of creating jobs locally and it will be of growing significance nationally as the company rolls out its expansion programme.”
