Appointments: Engage, Grontmij, The Insurance Partnership, giant

TRAIDCRAFT chief executive Paul Chandler has joined the board of Engage Mutual.

Before joining the fair trade organisation, Mr Chandler was general secretary at the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge and spent nine years with Barclays.

He said: “The opportunity to help  Engage Mutual build a strong service reputation and a distinctive membership offer responding to the passions and values of its members is really exciting. 

“The successful integration of principles in Traidcraft’s commercial model  has strong parallels with growing the  delivery of benefits in a mutual organisation owned by its members.”

ENGINEERING consultancy Grontmij has appointed Gavin Stonard as its new director of water and asset management.

Mr Stonard rejoins the business, where he was previously business development director for the UK business, as the firm prepares for a major bidding period with Gavin Stonard GrontmijUK water companies.

He said: “I am delighted to be re-joining Grontmij at such an exciting and challenging time. We have a clear strategy in place, focusing on our value beyond engineering approach, which will ensure that we deliver the technical expertise and added value that our clients require to address the challenges that the water sector faces.”

Grontmij is Europe’s third largest engineering consultancy and has its UK head office in Leeds.

THE Insurance Partnership has made three new appointments.

Jaynie Mansfield has been appointed a senior account executive while Roger Gillingwater takes a role as business development executive. Both previously worked at Hinks Insurance.

The Insurance PartnershipDuncan Rann, a former senior partner at Sandersons Solicitors, has joined as group director and counsel.

The Insurance Partnership director Richard Tuplin said: “I am very excited at these strategic senior appointments; they each bring with them great experience, knowledge and enthusiasm which will benefit greatly our ambitious growth plans, and I look forward to working alongside them.”

HR back office service provider giant has appointed two new members of its northern team.

Chris Dwyer has taken the role of sales manager in the north while Simon Malpas is business development manager.

Scott Pegley, giant sales director, said: “With over eight years’ experience, Chris has extensive experience within the industry and has built strong relationships. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to extending our relationships further with the recruitment agencies in the northern region.”

Mr Dwyer, a former Account Director at Parasol, added: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to join giant at this stage when we are looking to enhance the brand in the North of UK. I hope to re-establish existing relationships as well as develop new ones within the region.
