‘Landmark’ Nationwide contract for Communisis

COMMUNISIS, the marketing services provider, has won a nine year contract with Nationwide Building Society.
The tie-up will see Communisis develop and produce Nationwide’s customer communications, including transactional, marketing and regulatory mailings.
Communisis, based in Leeds, said the contract award followed a strategic review by Nationwide to determine how best to deliver external customer communications.
The new contract commences in the first quarter of 2013 and covers a nine year term. It significantly extends the Group’s relationship to include all of the transactional documentation that is currently produced in-house by Nationwide.
Activity under the contract, which starts in spring, will now be carried out at Communisis’ base in Liverpool, using high-speed colour digital technology.
Nationwide is an existing client of Communisis and Communisis will continue to produce direct mail, regulatory communications and security products and source point of sale and marketing collateral through its managed supply chain for Nationwide.
Andy Blundell, chief executive of Communisis, said: “Communisis enters 2013 with a strong pipeline and new revenues from recently announced contracts. The latest Nationwide contract is a landmark business win for Communisis given its scale, duration and span of service delivery.
“It is one that reflects the depth of our trusted partnership and is further evidence that access to our market-leading investment in high-speed colour digital technology is very attractive to clients as they outsource more of their customer communication requirements.”
