Former DavyMarkham boss Parkin takes on new challenge with Knight Warner

FORMER DavyMarkham chief Kevin Parkin has been appointed managing director of industrial automation business Knight Warner.

Mr Parkin, a well known figure in the South Yorkshire business community, has joined the Chesterfield-based business to spearhead its plans to achieve significant growth.

The Staveley business produces electrical controls and conveyors for a diverse range of industries including food and drink, rail, steel and power, aggregates and pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

A former managing director of Sheffield-based DavyMarkham and Eurofiltec, Mr Parkin has a wide range of experience in the engineering sector and also holds accountancy and marketing qualifications.

He is also the non-executive chairman of Sheffield manufacturer R3.
