Rudding Park named top UK hotel with TripAdvisor for third time

YORKSHIRE’S Rudding Park Hotel, Spa & Golf has beaten the best hotels in the UK and abroad to again win major accolades in TripAdvisor’s annual awards.
The Harrogate destination was voted number one hotel in the UK, second top hotel in Europe and came fourth in the top hotels of the world categories in the Travellers’ Choice Awards 2013 voted for by travellers and run by travel guide website TripAdvisor.
It is the third time in the last four years that Rudding Park has won the national award.
The awards are based on the millions of reviews and opinions from travellers gathered on the travel guide website.
Peter Banks, managing director at Rudding Park said: “Winning this national award three times in the last four years is a tremendous achievement. The fact we are also placed as a top hotel in Europe and The World is a wonderful accomplishment for the whole team.
“Travellers may use star ratings as a guide but it is TripAdvisor where genuine travellers express their opinions. These opinions then help other members of the TripAdvisor community make their choice with confidence. Hotels are now judged on every guest’s experience on a daily basis so there is nowhere to hide!
“I am extremely proud of every member of our team. We strive to provide the best possible value through a real care for our guests, experienced within the highest quality environment.”
Gary Verity, chief executive of tourism organisation Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “This is an incredible achievement, and one that is richly deserved. Yorkshire’s quality hotels stand out from the rest of the UK and Rudding Park is a great example of a hotel that is constantly looking to raise the bar.”
“TripAdvisor is once again thrilled to recognise the world’s most outstanding hotels with the help of more than 75m reviews and opinions from travellers around the globe,” said Christine Petersen, president, TripAdvisor for Business.
