Oman office opening for Addleshaw Goddard

LAW firm Addleshaw Goddard, which has a major presence in Yorkshire, is extending its footprint in the Middle East with the opening of an operation in Oman.
Addleshaw Goddard has formed an exclusive association with Nasser Al Habsi in the country.
The firm’s second offering in the Gulf region will be led by Roger Byrne, Trowers & Hamlins’ former head of banking and project finance in Oman, and Charles Schofield, former head of corporate, from the same office.
Nasser Al Habsi is a corporate law specialist and former colleague of the pair from Trowers & Hamlins in Muscat.
Addleshaw Goddard’s new office is expected to formally open for business in February.
Paul Devitt, Addleshaw Goddard’s managing partner, said: “We are excited by the potential of a broader proposition in the Middle East generally, and Oman specifically. There is great potential for our services in Oman and we are delighted that Roger and Charles are joining our association with Nasser Al Habsi.”
Addleshaw Goddard opened an office in Dubai last September and also has an operations Singapore.
