University launches ethical network

LEEDS University has launched a Professional Ethics Network and a series of related seminars to help businesses deal with complex ethical issues.

Aimed at helping businesses to get to grips with complex ethical issues in business – the IDEA (Inter-Disciplinary Ethics Applied) centre at the University of Leeds – has launched the network to help businesses develop and apply vital skills in this area.

The network is free of charge to join and offers professionals the opportunity to discuss ethical issues which affect them, face to face and online.

In addition to providing an informal networking opportunity to discuss the ethical dimension of real life working issues, the IDEA centre has also set up a series of free interactive seminars of interest to the business community.

The first seminar will be held on September 11 and will feature Radio 4 business correspondent, Peter Day who will highlight recent developments in business ethics and the ethical challenges we are all currently facing.
