Media Buzz: Fusion Unlimited, Brass, Engine Room, Barnsley Digital Media Centre

ONLINE marketing agency, Fusion Unlimited has won the integrated digital marketing account for consumer electronics retailer, Superfi. The win coincides with the expansion of the team, with four new hires.

The Superfi campaign covers a range of digital channels including PPC, SEO, shopping comparison and remarketing.

Commenting on the growth, Mark Curtis, managing director of Fusion Unlimited said: “Superfi is a great brand and an ambitious business. It is a great match with our own team that fits with our reputation as experts in multi-channel retail, which is driving our growth. We will continue to strengthen our team to support further expansion.”

THE Orchard Group, which has its UK headquarters in Elland, has signed a 12-month deal with Huddersfield design agency The Engine Room to power an integrated branding, PR and marketing strategy for the firm.

The Engine Room’s team of graphic designers, strategists, marketers and brand consultants will promote Orchard’s three companies, Orchard Energy, Orchard Environmental and Orchard Networks, which deliver energy, waste and IT business solutions nationwide.

Group managing director Gareth Henderson said the deal followed a decision by Orchard to invest significantly in marketing in 2013 to position the three businesses for further growth.

COMMUNICATIONS agency Brass has made three new appointments.
 
The Leeds firm has recruited Lauren Elliott to its Insight team as senior research executive from Principles Research; Tim Brazier joins the agency’s digital team as technical project manager having previously worked for Technophobia in Sheffield and Lawrence McNally joins Brass as account executive working in the marketing communications team having joined from Sheffield based MB Advertising and Marketing.

TWO new businesses have moved into Barnsley Digital Media Centre.

Cogwork Studio, a developer that makes apps, games and marketing tools, has relocated from Bradford and Data Dream, a start-up software company was previously based in Penistone and Cogwork Studio, a software developer which makes apps, games and marketing tools, has relocated from studios in Bradford.

Gareth Scargill, centre manager at the DMC, added: “We’re delighted to welcome these new companies. The DMC’s reputation as a first class base for creative and digital industries is spreading. To see businesses relocating here from as far afield as Bradford is a very positive endorsement of the centre’s facilities.”
