Unify celebrates contract win

UNIFY has won a contract to supply telecommunications to international service company Serco as part of its £170m outsourcing partnership with Aegon UK.

The deal for Unify, the Sheffield-based provider of specialist IT and telecommunications services, is valued at more than £600,000 to be delivered over a five year period.

It will result in the creation of five permanent IT roles, and Unify says it will recruit a number of apprentices under the new government scheme as part of a commitment to help youth unemployment.

Unify will deliver a range of services including a customer contact telephony system, LAN maintenance, wireless infrastructure, call recording and provide site based engineering staff.

Adam Esposito, director at Unify, said: “We are absolutely delighted to win the contract as it demonstrates our ability to work with multinational organisations and deliver a state of the art telecommunications solution. Our support will help to enhance the overall business performance and improve customer experience.”

Unify have been providing IT and telecommunication solutions to businesses across the UK for over 10 years.

The contract with Serco takes advantage of the company’s experience in the telecommunications sector and will see them deliver services and hardware to Aegon UK sites in Lytham St Annes and Edinburgh.

Nick Gage, chief technology officer at Serco Global Services, UK and Europe, said: “Unify will be providing a complex and highly sophisticated service that will not only help us to deliver operational excellence and cost efficiency, but will also enable us to maintain the highest levels of customer service.”
