A new digital and creative agency has launched in Wakefield.
B42 Digital, which now employs four members of staff, offers companies digital development and build, creative design, content and communications, and social media and public relations campaigns.
Steve Browett, managing director of the agency, has 14 years’ experience in the digital sector and has held numerous senior development roles.
He said: “My passion, enthusiasm and drive is what B42 is built on and we’re already well underway with some great projects for our clients.
“Our location at Calder Park means we are able to connect with companies all across the region and we are looking forward to meeting with businesses who match our drive and energy. We aim to help our clients use technology to outsmart their competition, rather than outspend them.”

COMMUNICATIONS specialists Words&Pictures has appointed Steven Murgatroyd to a new position of digital insight leader offering clients digital advice and strategy support.
Mr Murgatroyd joins the Otley-based firm from client KCOM where he was group internal communications and social media manager. Before then, he worked for Asda as the retailer’s social media and communications manager.
In his new role, he will advise Words&Pictures’ clients on effective use of digital channels such as intranets and internal social media. He will also counsel clients on best practice and future trends, ensuring optimum use of technology in internal communications.

OPERA North has announced its first full production to be released online, with the upcoming release of Don Giovanni captured live in High Definition by Digital Theatre.
Don Giovanni will be available to watch at the touch of a button on the Digital Theatre website, the company’s app for Samsung Smart TV or through the Digital Theatre iOS app for iPad and iPhone.
Richard Mantle, general director of Opera North, said: “We are delighted to join in partnership with Digital Theatre who clearly share with us a real commitment to innovation and high quality. We hope this will be the first of many opportunities for Opera North’s work to be accessed online.”
He added: “Digital Theatre is a highly talented company and this new venture takes Opera North into new territory way beyond the bounds of the traditional theatre experience.”
Launched in late 2009 by Robert Delamere and Tom Shaw, Digital Theatre works with the UK’s leading theatre companies to capture theatre productions in High Definition from multiple camera angles.
Mr Shaw said: “Digital Theatre has spent over three years refining our method of capturing the performing arts working in spaces from a shipping container outside the Young Vic to the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
“It is an honour to partner with Opera North to capture the intimacy of their work and bring this award-winning production to a worldwide audience.”
