Latest property appointments: NG Bailey; CBRE

NG Bailey has made a key appointment to its group operating executive team with Lee Marks joining the business as group commercial director.

In his role his primary focus will be on the development and implementation of the company’s commercial strategy. As a member of the group’s operating executive team he will report directly into the company’s chief executive David Hurcomb.

He brings with him 25 years experience working in all areas of the construction industry. Marks has held previous director roles for companies including Laing O’Rourke and Crown House Technologies.

Most recently he held the position of commercial director for Galliford Try within its buildings division.

Ian HareTHE Leeds office of CBRE has boosted its retail team with the appointment of Ian Hare as director of out of town retail.

He joins CBRE in the newly launched office at Toronto Square in a move from BNP Paribas where he worked for five years since its acquisition of Hill Woolhouse where Hare was part of the retail team for four years.

He has advised a number of institutional retail warehouse investors including British Land, Peel, Threadneedle and Metric. He has also acquired stores for retailers such as Asda Living, Argos, Homebase and Boyes.

Hare said: “I am looking forward to applying my experience within the retail sector to CBRE’s significant and growing client base. I will still be acquiring stores for Boyes and will continue to provide advice on retail park asset management and development to the likes of Kier, Morbaine and IGNIS.”

Amy ScalesCBRE Leeds has also appointed Amy Scales as senior surveyor within its property and asset management team.

She joins from DTZ and will be involved with the day to day management of commercial properties within CBRE’s client base.
