Microdat win Irish brewery contract

MICRODAT, the brewing and manufacturing company, has been awarded the contract to build a new brewing facility for C&C Group in Ireland.
Work on the brew house will begin immediately with final commissioning due to be completed in Spring 2014.
Leeds-based Microdat will work closely alongside the team at C&C Group to provide full upfront 3D designs & PID documentation, vessel procurement, process and utility pipework modules, electrical installation, software design and implementation through to commissioning production trials.
The new facility will give C&C Group the ability to both brew and package lagers, ales, stouts and malted beverages for the first time at its existing cider production facilities in Ireland.
Microdat CEO Maitland Hyslop said: “We appreciate the confidence that C&C Group have placed in Microdat in regard to this project. It is a privilege to work with such a company as C&C Group and we look forward to working closely with their project team.
“Such a project, with a value in excess of £1m, reflects Microdat’s determination to build on the successes at Moorhouse’s, St Austell and Wye Valley.”
