Smithers Group snaps up NMR site

NATIONAL Milk Records (NMR), the leading supplier of milk recording services in the UK, has sold its14,693 sq ft laboratory and office premises in Harrogate.

The specialist company, acknowledged by the industry as a market leader in the provision and support of dairy software, sold the building on Skipton Road for £1.5m to The Smithers Group, a global environmental science and technology company.

Gent Visick brokered the deal on behalf of NMR which also saw them relocate to new offices within Harrogate.

Rupert Visick, who advised on the sale, said: “We are thrilled to have been involved in one of the most significant transactions in Harrogate this year. This deal represents a genuine win win situation, providing both buyer and seller with the ideal outcome.”

“Retaining a presence within Harrogate was important to us and Gent Visick achieved a great result.”
