Buying Solutions Group completes first project

THE newly-established Buying Solutions Group has completed its first project.

Launched earlier this year, the consortium – a group of Yorkshire companies which teamed up to provide a service for businesses that are relocating or expanding – has provided products and services for a new 6,500 sq ft office scheme at Parkhill Business Centre near Wetherby.

The building was converted from the old head office of Holroyd Construction into 12 serviced offices suitable for businesses with two to 10 employees.

Three members of the consortium, which has more than 200 years combined industry experience, were appointed by Darren Shaw, the founder of Yorkshire business support group BiY, to provide products and services.

TGE Solutions provided the telephone system, telephone lines and a high-speed internet line; Logic Fire and Security supplied fire safety equipment and security systems; and D3 Office Group provided office furniture throughout the scheme.

The business centre owner, Darren Shaw, said: “Having the three parties working together on this project and liaising with each other just made it much easier from our project management perspective.

“We’re looking to create a community within the business community, where small businesses can work together, trade off each other and share contacts.

“It has worked having the Buying Solutions Group pull things together. It fits with what BiY is about and we expect the collaborative approach to be fully borne out within this centre.”

Phillip Allum, founder of the Buying Solutions Group, said: “It’s very rewarding for the Buying Solutions Group to be chosen for this new development, which demonstrates the success of our partnership approach.

“We are building a solid foundation on which to grow the group and it clearly shows that a market exists for an organisation that can deliver first-class products and services across a number of different areas.”
