Herberts takes centre stage at Events Solutions following MBO
RICHARD Herberts has taken the reigns at crowd control specialist Events Solutions following his recent management buyout.
The haulage entrepreneur has taken control of Sheffield-based company, having been involved in the business since its inception more than ten years ago.
Mr Herberts said: “Events Solutions has developed a fantastic network of contacts and undertakes interesting, high profile work across the UK. I believe through investment in new systems and the brand itself, we can increase our capacity and reputation to produce tangible benefits in a relatively short space of time.”
Event Solutions will now form part of Richard Herberts’ portfolio of businesses, which includes Worksop’s RDSTransport, providers of refrigerated delivery services to the food industry.
The MBO was handled on his behalf by Sheffield solicitors Taylor&Emmet and accountants Landin Wilcock and Co.
Finance was provided by Handelsbanken Rotherham.
Mr Herberts added: “Events Solutions has great potential for growth and is quickly becoming a key player in the entertainment and sports industries. Whilst the work is competitive and demanding, it is also exciting and has proved relatively recession proof to date. I have every confidence in our operations manager, James Wood and his capable team have the skills and experience to take the business forward and prove my investment is a good move.”
Located in Kiveton Park, Events Solutions provides crowd control and barrier systems for public gatherings of all sizes, from village fetes to film premieres, concerts, festivals and major sporting events.
