Indian delegation look for trading opportunities with Yorkshire

A DELEGATION of senior Indian business figures from organisations including Air India, the State Bank of India and the Confederation of Indian Industry, are to attend a keynote business conference in Yorkshire next week.

The Indian delegation will meet up to 70 business people and entrepreneurs from the Leeds City Region at the event on Tuesday which is focused on encouraging inward investment and increasing trade and joint venture opportunities between SMEs in Yorkshire and India.

Doing Business with India is being held by the Yorkshire Asian Business Association (YABA), in partnership with international law firm DLA Piper, the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and the Confederation of Indian Industry.

The event, which takes place on September 17 between 11am and 2.30pm at DLA Piper’s offices at Princes Exchange in Leeds, will include a presentation by Roger Marsh, chairman of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, on ‘Doing
business in Leeds City Region’.
