EVERSHEDS has appointed IT outsourcing expert Simon Jones as a partner in its Leeds office.
Simon was DLA Piper’s Birmingham head of technology and sourcing and specialises in the negotiation of complex IT outsourcing and systems integration projects for a wide range of private and public sector clients.
He also has significant expertise in advising clients on a wide range of information tech-nology, e-commerce, intellectual property, broadcasting and sports related matters. Mr Jones will join the Eversheds Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) sector group and be based in the firm’s Leeds office.

LLOYDS Bank has added director Dave Furlong and associate director Kate Grimoldby to its North of England Acquisition Finance team.
The appointments will support the origination and execution of mid-market leveraged financings, including buyouts, bolt-on acquisitions and refinancings, with private equity firms and companies across the North West, Yorkshire and the North East.
Furlong, who has 10 years’ industry experience, joins from HSBC where he was deputy head of Leveraged Finance for the North of England, arranging facilities to support sponsor-led deals across the three regions.
With six years’ structured finance experience, Grimoldby arrives from RBS having been a director in the Northern Corporate Transactions team, responsible for executing leveraged deals.
Price said: “The North of England is home to a number of well-capitalised sponsors which are actively investing. The emergence of new entrants and the several recent successful fundraisings further illustrate the appetite for growth funding in the North West, Yorkshire and the North East.”

FAST growing Distinction Doors has appointed a new sales director onto the board.
Jim Stewart joins joins the team of 50, which recently announced a turnover of £29m. He is based at the company’s 80,000 sq ft headquarters in Tankersley, South Yorkshire.
Mr Stewart said: “I’m delighted to be joining a dynamic and fast growing company like Distinction Doors.”

RACHEL Riches has Leeds-based country house hotel Oulton Hall as the sales director.
Ms Riches joins following a £600,000 investment in rooms targeted at corporate accounts and further spending planned in initiatives to attract business clients.
