TPP looks forward to fast-growing team

THE Phoenix Partnership (TPP), a provider of patient record software, is set to embark on a rapid employment process after submitting further plans for its new multi-million pound headquarters.
The Leeds-based business, which delivers clinical systems to the NHS, has submitted a detailed planning application to Leeds City Council for an extension to its new office development. This follows an application made last year, which has obtained full planning permission, to allow a workforce of up to 500, but now, after continued growth, the company has revised its plans to accommodate a team of 650. The firm is due to get a planning decision for this extension in December.
TPP will be relocating from its existing office on Troy Lane in Horsforth to the site of the former Dixon car showroom on Low Lane, Horsforth. It said it is a “multi-million pound” project for the business.
Currently employing around 200 people, TPP said it expects a growth of 25% over the next three months and as a result, in the next three years, expects to recruit an extra 200 members of staff, to bring its team up to 650.
Frank Hester, founder & CEO, said: “I am so proud of what my company has already achieved. We have a great team of talented staff who are all really passionate about the work we do. Our future is looking extremely exciting. Our plans to move to a new purpose built office will mean we can provide new career opportunities for hundreds of new members of staff.”
The £24m turnover business is known for its clinical IT system SystmOne, which is now used by 120,000 NHS staff across England and hosts electronic records for nearly half the country’s patients, according to the firm.
The company has been based in Horsforth for more than 15 years and has grown from 50 employees to over 150 employees in the last two years. It said over 80% of its staff are based in the Horsforth area.
TPP said it is starting to expand the company internationally and is currently exploring opportunities in the Middle East, India and China.
TPP said: “Due to our growth in new markets, the company is rapidly expanding. Over the next two to three years, we are expecting to hire more than 200 new staff from the local area — providing local people with a promising career.
“Over the last couple of years we’ve been developing a product for hospitals and we’ve seen a lot of interest in this recently, along with our products for social services and mental health. We’re also hiring new graduates to work on our international projects.”
The development of a new office will regenerate an existing brownfield site and TPP said it will create a “significant” number of spin off jobs. The office plans include extensive parking facilities, significantly reducing the number of cars parked on residential streets.TPP is working with architects Bowman Riley on the project.
The new headquarters office will be 87,727 sq ft over four storeys, providing up to 650 workstations, 18 formal meeting rooms, a number informal meeting rooms, a dining area to cater for up to 320 staff members at one time, 332 staff and visitor car-parking spaces, with 12 disabled spaces, provisions for 10 visitor cycle spaces, 80 staff cycle spaces and nine motorbikes.
Within two years TPP’s lease runs out and the firm hopes to move into the new headquarters.
