Business school names new Dean

LEEDS University Business School has appointed Professor Peter Moizer as the new Dean of Faculty.
Peter Moizer, Professor of Accounting at Leeds University Business School, takes over from Andrew Lock who remains as Professor of Marketing and Business Administration.
Leeds University Business School is one of the UK’s leading business schools and continues to grow in size and reputation.
It teaches more than 1,500 undergraduate and 500 postgraduate students from more than 50 countries. The School is ranked 48th in the world’s top 100 business schools according to the Financial Times Global MBA 2008.
Professor Moizer trained as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers, has been a member of a number of committees for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and has also written reports for the DTI on audit issues and advises the Government as a member of the Competitions Commission.
He is a co-founder of the European Auditing Research Network and serves on the editorial boards of six major international research journals.
He is also a strategic advisor to the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, the largest local authority pension fund in the UK.
Mr Moizer said: “Leeds University Business School’s reputation as a centre for learning, research and an outstanding MBA programme has grown steadily over the years. I take over as Dean from Andrew Lock at an exciting stage in the school’s development and look forward to building on the achievements of my colleagues to date.”
