Recent deals point to rise in occupier confidence – CBRE

TWO Yorkshire industrial units totaling around 20,000 sq ft have sold in deals that demonstrate growing occupier confidence within the region, according to CBRE.

Label products supplier AJS Labels has snapped up the 9,863 sq ft Unit E on Boothroyds Way at Green Lane Industrial Estate in Featherstone for an undisclosed sum.

In South Yorkshire, local food manufacturer Country Feast has bought the 9,902 sq ft Unit 2 on Carlton Industrial Estate in Barnsley for an undisclosed sum.

CBRE’s industrial agency team handled the deals.

Associate director of industrial agency at CBRE, Dave Cato, said: “We have witnessed an upsurge in demand for units of around 10,000 sq ft which are being purchased by firms to enable them to own their business premises. This demonstrates that occupier confidence is growing which is a positive sign for the continued recovery of the sector as a whole.”
