Trinity Quays project moves forward

THE delayed Trinity Quays high-rise hotel and conference centre scheme in Hull has taken a step forward.

According to Construction Enquirer, contractor ISG is working with developer Fulstow Holdings to move forward the project.

The proposed scheme has been scaled back from an original 22-storey design to an 18-storey building earmarked for a currently derelict site in High Street close to Myton Bridge.

The developer said the redesign, which has reduced the size of the original scheme by 25% to 140,000 sq ft, is “a more financially viable building” than that granted planning approval last summer.

The current scheme features 232 hotel bedrooms and an 800-seat conference centre.

The revised plans have already been passed by Hull City Council and ISG is understood to be aiming to get the project underway in mid-2014.
