QC gobbled up by Westcoast

ELECTRONIC office goods business, QC Supplies, has been acquired by a major retail distributor.
 
Halifax-based QC Supplies, part of the Quarry Court Group, has been bought by Westcoast, which has a turnover of almost £1bn. QC Supplies is a reseller of electronic office supplies to the business to business market and has a turnover of over £60m and 158 employees. It works with manufacturers including Brother, Canon and Dell.
 
QC Supplies, which was launched in 1993, will continue to operate from its Halifax head office and distribution centre and will continue to be led by chairman of Quarry Court Holdings, Jon Crabtree.
 
Westcoast, founded in 1984, distributes IT brands to resellers, retailers and office product dealers in the UK. It has offices in Reading, Nottingham, Milton Keynes and Dublin.
