LSH to market £100m development site

LONDON & Continental Railways has appointed Lambert Smith Hampton to bring to market a £100m office and conference centre-led development opportunity in Leeds.

According to CoStar, LSH will soon bring to market through informal tender Marsh Lane, which extends to around 3.75 acres.

LCR told CoStar the site was allocated for a “prestige office development, leisure, recreation and cultural facilities, conference centre and hotels with additional potential for residential development and healthcare related uses”.

The site sits adjacent to the main railway lines leading into Leeds city centre and opposite the NHS’s and the BBC’s regional headquarters in Leeds.

It will be marketed with the potential for up to 450,000 sq ft of offices as part of a mixed-use development.

Guy Gilfillan, regional divisional director of office agency in the north at LSH, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for Leeds given the timing when it is clear that appetite for development including funding is increasing in the city. There is real pent up demand for opportunities to develop in Leeds.”

The site is a legacy site from the British Railways Board.
