New contracts spark further growth for IT group

CONCORDE IT group secured contracts worth more than £500,000 last year, it has announced.

The Wakefield-based IT support and managed services provider landed deals with Leeds Building Society, national dry cleaning chain Johnsons Cleaners, Kirklees Council and Care Plus Group, a provider of services to the NHS, as well as Express Gifts, one of the largest direct mail order business in the UK and Interserve Working Futures, a contractor of the Government’s Work Programme.

Concorde, which provides IT solutions to businesses across the country, has grown rapidly over the past 12 months resulting in a move of headquarters to a much larger Concorde House in Ossett and the creation of several new roles across its six national locations.

Group managing director, Neil Roberts, said: “Despite it being a tough economic year, we embraced new challenges, continued to grow by expanding our fantastic team and geographic reach and most importantly, went over and above to meet the requests of our customers.

“Our approach for 2014 will be much of the same; to build on the successes of the previous year and continue to deliver the services that our customers want. And as always, we’ll be aiming higher in order to achieve more.”

As well as Wakefield, Concorde also operates from Blackburn, Kettering, Hayes, Bristol and Glasgow. The business employs around 100 people and turnover is approximately £10m.
