Global helps drive Rhinos Super League challenge

YORKSHIRE-BASED fleet operator Global Autocare has signed a three-year deal to become an an associate club sponsor and official motor vehicle partner to the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team.
 
The Leeds-based business, which employs 70 staff, invested £5m in a new headquarters on Gelderd Road last year, offers daily rental, contract hire, fleet management and maintenance, vehicle movements and storage as well as vehicle sales to corporate and trade customers. Global’s customer list includes Lloyds Banking Group, KPMG, Carlsberg, Zenith, JCT 600 Contracts, and Helphire.
 
The business, which has a daily rental fleet of more than 1,300 vehicles as well as a longer term contract fleet, is run by founder Geoff Bloore and finance and operations director David Sadler.
 
Commenting on the new deal Global Autocare owner Geoff Bloore said: “We are delighted with the new partnership. As well as supporting the Rhinos and raising our own profile, we are also putting in place fantastic offers for fans and the business community of Leeds.”
 
As part of the new partnership, the ‘Global’ logo will appear on the collar of the Rhinos home and away shirts for 2014 and the big screen at Headingley Carnegie has been rebranded with its logo.
 
Leeds Rugby commercial director Rob Oates added: “We are very pleased to have agreed this new deal with Global. They have had an association with the club for a number of years but this deal formalises that arrangement and is a major boost to the team for next season and beyond.”
 
Leeds Rhinos kick off the Super League season away at Hull on Sunday, February 16.
