COMMERCIAL gas supplier CNG is driving its business forward with the appointment of seven new staff.

The growing business, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this month, has seen a continued increase in demand for its services and figures reveal that it is on target to see 30% growth for 2013/14.

CNG managing director, Jacqui Hall, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming more newcomers to the business. This year is all set to be one of the most dynamic yet as we continue to grow the business and also celebrate our anniversary with a raft of events and activities.”

A YORKSHIRE firm which specialises in training people who work at height is poised for a record year following recent expansion.

Halifax-based Boss Training has made several recent appointments to deal with the growth it is forecasting for 2014. Following the appointments of relationship manager Tom Burwell and administrator Afeefah Shabir in late 2013, Boss has now announced it has appointed Dean Parker to the role of operations manager.

The company, which delivers safety training across the UK, has recently secured contracts to provide working at height training to British Airways, The National Trust and construction giants Balfour Beatty.

Launched by managing director Andrew Murphy in 2005, Boss has enjoyed rapid growth and is on target to achieve an annual turnover of £1m within the next 18 months.

NATWEST has appointed Ian Hartley as relationship manager for Agriculture and Renewable Energy Business Banking in Mid Yorkshire.

Hartley has worked for more than 25 years in the Royal Bank of Scotland Group holding various positions at numerous branches. He most recently worked as a specialised relationship manager, Agriculture in Manchester.

In his new role he will help local farmers achieve their ambitions by understanding their businesses’ challenges and using his in-depth knowledge to help provide business solutions and explore opportunities.

ISON Harrison has appointed Stephen Knowles as head of company and commercial services.

Based in the firm’s Leeds city centre headquarters, Knowles will now manage and drive forward the commercial profile of the business.

He was previously a solicitor and director at York-based solicitors Burn & Company.

Knowles has two particular specialisms in dental and sporting law.
