EMSLEYS Solicitors has appointed Angela Macready as head of commercial property.
Macready, a specialist in commercial property including working with small owner managed businesses, charitable organisations and large national retailers, joins Emsleys from Ison Harrison Solicitors.
Her role will include supporting and expanding Emsleys’ portfolio of SMEs, developers and commercial property landlords on issues such as sale and purchase, leasing, conveyancing, finance and development, together with helping companies put in place the right structure and documentation to enable them to succeed.

RM ENGLISH, the York-based based property firm, has expanded its residential department with two senior appointments in the wake of a record-breaking year.
Jonty Lightowler has joined the company as the principal valuer, while Julie Butters has been appointed as the senior sales negotiator.
Lightowler joins from Dacre Son and Hartley, while Butters comes from Stephensons.

MATTHEW Hudson has joined the commercial property team at York-based solicitors Guest Walker & Co.
The commercial property solicitor joins from a large practice in Hull and will be working with clients requiring legal advice on all aspects of property development, acquisitions, disposals and lettings.
Hudson brings with him specific expertise in dealing with public houses, cafés, hotels and restaurants, which he gained whilst working as part of his previous employers’ specialist pub team.

ESTATE agents Steven Potts and Tim Usherwood have been promoted to directors at Dacre Son & Hartley.
Potts has been with the firm for almost 20 years and has managed the company’s Bingley office for seven years. Usherwood also joined the firm over 20 years ago and has successfully run the Skipton office for 13 years.
