Riggotts lines up for further success

A LINE marking firm headquartered in East Yorkshire has been celebrating 20 years of growth.

Riggotts was founded in 1994 by brothers Nick and Darren Riggott. From humble beginnings it has grown to become a leader in its field, marking roads all the way from the Isle of Wight to the Hebrides.

The company, which has turnover of £6.2m, says it has painted around 150 million metres of lines and placed more than 450,000 road studs over the past two decades.

Besides roads the company’s 70-strong team – which operates crews from bases including Glasgow, Grimsby, Taunton, Tuxford and London – also work across a variety of other areas, marking anything from car parks and warehouses to airport runways and motor sport circuits.

Local councils, Royal Mail, BMW, Tesco, McDonalds, Ikea, Asda, DHL and Honda are counted as clients.

Nick Riggott, now the company’s commercial director, said: “I think for any business to still be growing after two decades, particularly in today’s economic climate, is a huge achievement. The reason we are where we are is very simple – we have a dedicated, highly professional and skilled team of people who care about every job they do.

“It’s been an outstanding and eventful 20 years. Here’s to the next 20.”
