Law firm expands at Toronto Square

LAW firm Capsticks has expanded its office space at Toronto Sqaure in Leeds.

M&G Real Estate, the real estate fund management arm of M&G Investments, has agreed new terms with the law firm, which will see it occupy the whole of the third floor at the building.

Capsticks, which specialises in health and social care and social housing, has signed for a further 7,797 sq ft, taking its total space to 12,206 sq ft on a 10-year lease.

Toronto Square offers 90,676 sq ft of office space. It was acquired by M&G Real Estate from Highcross last year.

Duncan Holmes, associate director, asset management at M&G Real Estate, said: “The expansion of Capsticks is a great endorsement for the premier office space we offer at Toronto Square. The quality and central location of the building continues to attract high profile tenants and we still have approximately 16,000 sq ft to let on the first and second floors.”

Alex Hailey, senior surveyor at CBRE’s Leeds office, added: “This recent deal further cements Toronto Square’s reputation as one of Leeds’ premier office destinations. The quality of office space, strong location just minutes on foot from the train station and the general appeal of the building continues to attract high profile tenants and will ensure its long-term success within the City’s office market.”

Toronto Square attracted a number of new tenants last year, including CBRE, Hiscox, Willis and Eddisons.

CBRE and DTZ represented M&G Real Estate and Capsticks was unrepresented.
