National parcel firm relocates to East Yorkshire

NATIONAL parcel business TNT has relocated to the Ozone Business Park – providing more evidence of the strategic importance of the Howden and Goole employment hub, according to a local property company.

By letting the 44,330 sqft warehouse known as Unit 2 at the Howden-based Ozone Business Park TNT strengthens its position as the European market leader in global express, logistics and international mail services, East Yorkshire based Horncastle, said.

TNT joins Warburtons and Image Data Group on the site on the growing Howden and Goole employment hub located on the A614 Howden Road, just half a mile from junction 37 off the M62 motorway.

The Ozone Business Park welcomed its first occupier in 2007 and has been planned to accommodate offices, and industrial units and warehouses from 10,000 to 200,000 sqft.

Ian Hodges, Horncastle, managing director, said: “TNT’s decision to occupy this unit was based on them recognising the value this added to their business.

“Unit 2 was built to a high specification and is suitable for a wide range of manufacturing and warehousing uses with an A rating EPC. We have carried out only very minor modifications to meet their needs so that the premises are ideal as a local Distribution Centre and so that they can benefit from a location that is well positioned on the motorway network to link their national distribution operations whilst still being ideally placed for them to serve East Yorkshire at a local level.”

Horncastle is in the process of rebranding the Ozone Business Park and said it aims to attract additional employers to the area throughout the year.
